Baked Pork Chops with Tomato, Garlic Butter: A Delicious and Nutritious Dish

These baked pork chops are seared, then oven-roasted and coated with a flavorful Tomato, Garlic Butter Sauce. This is a tasty and easy way to cook moist pork chops.

Pork chops are a classic dish that is often enjoyed for its simple flavors and hearty texture. However, pork chops can also be a bit boring if they are not cooked properly. This recipe for baked pork chops with tomato and garlic butter is a great way to take your pork chops to the next level.

Baked Pork Chops for dinner is always a special treat. It is a treat because I don’t usually cook it unless one of my family makes a request. It is not a preferred cut of meat in the family and, therefore, not a popular dish unless it is seasoned correctly, and cook to perfection.

One of the many ways to serve pork chops is with either a sauce or gravy. Let’s not forget that potatoes are one of the main side dishes served with pork. Mashed potatoes or roasted potatoes can both create a fulfilling and delicious meal the whole family will enjoy.

How do you make baked pork chops and how to keep them moist.

For this version of baked pork chops, the recipe is easy and straightforward. I chose to season the chops with Noubess Garlic and Herbs Seasoning and Olive Oil instead of the usual salt and pepper. I also sprayed my grilling pan with Pam Spray, which helped a lot. The meat did not stick to the pan, and the searing marks were just right.

One key to keeping the baked pork chops moist is not to overcook them. Depending on the thickness of the meat, the average cooking time is 3 – 6 minutes per side on medium-high heat. Once the chops are golden brown, please place them in a baking dish to be transferred to the oven—no need to dirty another pan at this point.

I would recommend using a cooking/food thermometer to check the temperature of the chops before you remove them from the oven. You should also make sure that their temperature is at least 145 degrees F so the chops are not dry. This tip goes for all pork chops recipes.

  4. Add the pork chops to the grilling pan or regular pan in a single layer—Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until browned.

Tips and Notes

  • Make sure you prepare the tools and ingredients you will be using in advance. Cooking the chops at the right temperature is critical.
  • You can use bone-in pork chops or boneless pork chops. I prefer bone-in pork because they are easier to handle when turning or flipping, the bone makes the meat more flavorful and are less likely to dry out. Boneless pork chops may cook quicker than bone-in pork. Make sure you pay close attention when cooking.
  •  Searing or browning the chops helps with flavor, and they look better.
  • Always use juicy tomatoes such as grapevine, Campari, or your preferred type.
  • Go to Noubess.com to purchase the Garlic and Herbs Seasoning and the Hot and Spicy Sauce
  • The chops are done when the temperature reads at least 145 degrees F. If cooked more prolonged, the chops will be dry.
  • Serve with rice, root vegetables, pasta, or your preferred grain.
  • For a more flavorful dish, you can marinate the pork chops for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
  • You can also add other vegetables to the dish, such as mushrooms, zucchini, or bell peppers.

Conclusion:

This dish is a delicious and nutritious way to enjoy pork chops. It is also a relatively easy dish to make, so it is a great option for busy weeknights.

Enjoy! Don’t forget to leave a comment and let us know if you’ve tried it. 🙂
