Canned Salmon Salad Sandwiches Recipe

Create a complete and quick meal with Salmon Salad for lunch and even dinner if you don’t have time. These sandwiches are similar to Tuna Salad Recipe and the Salmon melted cheese recipe.
I love Salmon because of all the incredible health benefits it contains and because it makes an excellent lunch and dinner. In no time, you can have a healthy lunch to enjoy with a side of fruit, soup, or salad.
Canned Tuna and Canned Sardines sandwiches are usually most requested for how easy they are to make and how delicious they are. Canned Salmon not so much because it can be somewhat expensive to buy. Let’s not ignore it and try to include it whenever possible. It is as much flavorful and easy to make as canned tuna and sardines sandwiches.

About canned salmon, benefits, and consumption
Canned Salmon is rarely on sale when compared to canned tuna. They are both canned seafood, and their daily consumption has primarily increased over the past couple of years. Canned Salmon is rich in protein, calcium, vitamin D, and healthy omega-3 fats.
Canned Salmon is usually sold with bones and without bones. The bones add more flavor and are generally very soft and can be eaten because you won’t even notice them when mashed.
As far as the best brand of canned Salmon, you can find more information here. Like many of us, I grew up enjoying StarKist, Bumble Bee, and Chicken of the Sea brands. Later on, I added the Kirkland brand.

Canned Salmon vs Fresh Salmon Substitution
Can you use canned salmon instead of fresh Salmon in every recipe? The answer is no. You cannot substitute canned Salmon with fresh Salmon in all recipes. Usually, you either in salmon cake recipes and Salmon melt sandwich recipes or leafy salad recipes.
How to make Salmon Salad Sandwiches
Ingredients needed
- Canned Salmon: 1 can is enough to feed 1 – 2 people. Use with bone or without bones.
- Mayonnaise: always use a good brand, as this will help combine all ingredients and add flavor.
- Noubess Hot and Spicy Sauce: if you have this hot and spicy sauce, go for it. It adds tons of flavor, and you don’t even need to add salt and pepper or any other seasonings Feel free to add crushed red pepper flakes or your favorite hot sauce.
- Mustard: whatever you have on hand will work. You may use Spicy Mustard, Honey Mustard, Dijon Mustard, Yellow or Grey Poupon, my favorite.
- Parsley: fresh parsley and seafood is a good combination.
- Scallion and Red Onion: I use both because I love the combination of the peppery taste of both. You may either scallion red onion, or both.
- Lemon Juice: this is a must ingredient. Fish needs some acidity. It does not have to be too much, just a couple of drops for this salmon salad.
- Bread: use crusty bread or a bagel. Slices of bread that are too soft will cause your sandwich to fall apart.
