What is Baharat Chicken

Baharat Chicken is the recipe’s name, but the preparation method and seasoning are used. Pronounced ba-ha-RAAHT, this aromatic spice blend is a classic, all-purpose Middle Eastern spice. It is used to season meat, poultry, vegetables, and even grains. It is also an excellent seasoning to flavor sauce, soups, and stews.

We will be using Noubess Baharat Seasoning with fresh garlic and lemon slices for this recipe. This particular spice blend is very fragrant and has a strong flavor profile.

Ingredients for the Baharat Chicken recipe

Only 5 ingredients are needed for this flavorful recipe.

  • Bone-in Chicken Thighs: you can make this recipe with chicken legs or boneless thighs. My preference is bone-in thighs; they are more flavorful, in my opinion.
  • Noubess Baharat Seasoning: a superb spice blend you will want to season most of your chicken recipes.
  • Lemons: fresh lemon slices to elevate the spice blend and its smoky flavor.
  • Garlic Cloves: lots of them! You can never have too many garlic cloves. The garlic cloves are roasted with the chicken thighs delivering an earthy flavor.
  • Olive Oil: regular olive oil will do. It is also best to roast chicken with olive oil.
