Easy Tuna Wrap Salad Recipe

This easy tuna salad recipe makes the best tuna wraps or bread sandwiches! This recipe is a version of the classic tuna salad without mayo and is perfect for making ahead for quick lunches.

We all agreed that canned tuna is a pantry staple food. When I am not in the mood to cook or even go near the stove of the oven, I enjoy making a delicious sandwich and devour it with fruits. One of my preferred way to enjoy tuna fish in a can is by making a sandwich seasoned with my favorite condiments and spices.

A good tuna fish recipe does not require much, and that’s why I like it. The tuna salad can be complicated or straightforward. It all depends on your choice, taste, likes, and dislikes.

Besides being the perfect sandwich for lunch, tuna fish contains high levels of omega-3 fatty acids and is an excellent source of vitamin B12. If you are on a fish or seafood diet, tuna fish is worth being on your food list.

How to make Tuna Fish Salad Recipe

Not all fish or seafood salad must contain mayonnaise. You can opt to make this recipe without the mayonnaise, and it is excellent. This recipe is perfect without it. It is light and not messy.

The ingredients you will need are as follow:

  • Canned Tuna Fish: I prefer Albacore wild chunk style tuna. It comes in small pieces and has a creamier texture,, and best for salads. It can be purchased online, at Amazon, or at your local supermarket. Choose any brand you prefer.
  • Red Onion: a flavorful onion that adds lost of zest to any sandwiches. You can also substitute it with shallots.
  • Lemon Juice: always best to use fresh lemons. The taste and freshness of produce is very distinctive in salads.

The recipe

  1. Place drained tuna in a medium bowl.
  2. Add Noubess hot and spicy sauce, red onion, and a little salt.
  3. Stir with a fork until everything is well combined. Taste and add more salt and hot and spicy sauce as needed.
  4. Serve tuna salad on wraps, bread, rolls, croissants, or crackers. For low carb, serve tuna salad on a bed of lettuce

Notes

  • Tuna salad may be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Add roasted bell peppers for a tastier tuna salad.

  • 1 can 5 ounces tuna in water drained

  • A few drops of fresh lemon juice optional
  • Salt to taste
