Grapefruit Snack, healthy and refreshing
Grapefruit comes in many varieties. “Chadeque” is another name for Grapefruit. The real Chadeque can also be bigger in size depending on where it originated. As we have white grapefruit, we also can enjoy pink grapefruit, which to me is similar in taste.
I wish the grapefruits would stop looking like oranges. They are about the same size now. What is going on with the farmers and the soil? Is it the pesticides that make the fruits smaller, or is it the effect of the ozone layer? Who knows at this point?

As far as the sugar, my preference is brown or organic sugar. The granulated sugar is good as well, but the taste of brown is distinctive and simply delicious with this grapefruit snack.
Whatever the reason is, let’s not forget this beautiful treat. Old Fashioned Grapefruit Snack is better enjoyed cold, on a hot day, lounging on a long chair and savoring every spoon.
Don’t forget that you can also enjoy breakfast time with our delicious egg sandwich.
Enjoy!
