Is it easy to make Kale Salad?
For many people looking for healthy side dishes, Kale is one of the best leafy vegetables to add to your kale salad recipe. It is refreshing and with a slightly tangy taste, it is perfect for any type of salad dressing.
Kale salads are packed with healthy goodness. Kale leaves are packed full of fiber and nutrients. I feel like I am eating a complete meal when I add other ingredients. These ingredients are fruits, nuts, protein such as Grilled or Roasted Chicken Breast, and cheese. I sometimes do not even need salad dressing.
To make your salad, you may need a salad kit. Kale Salad Kit are sold at the supermarket for convenience. But there is nothing better than making your own kale salad recipe.
How to choose the right kale leaves for your leafy salad recipe
I recently shared an article Kale, Super Healthy Green and its Benefits? Take some time to read the article because it will help you decide if you should use Baby Kale or Regular Kale.
A salad with Baby Kale is easier to make because there’s no need to remove the ribs as they are tough to chew.
The best ingredients to add to your Salad Recipe
Nuts, protein (poultry, seafood, or red meat), and fruits are the best ingredients to dress your salads. I mostly use Cashew nuts because they are softer and are slightly sweet. I mostly add roasted or grilled chicken breast because I find seafood and red meat too overpowering for the taste of the kale leaves. For fruits, I prefer apples and dried cranberries. I think they go so well with the taste of kale.
For salad dressing, these days I like to use salt and pepper and a drizzle of Noubess Lemon Sorrento Infused Extra-olive Oil. I find the combination quite good and I can taste every ingredient as they are dredged with a creamy salad dressing. Just simple!
