Quick and Easy Toasted Oats

This Toasted Oats recipe is one of the healthiest toppings for your yogurt cup, ice cream, and one of the best snacks. It takes less than 30 minutes to make and if you prefer a cookie, turn the recipe into a crunchy cookie.

You could ultimately toast plain and unsweetened oats on the stovetop, but where is the fun in that. The oven is the best way to toast the oats. The oats are roasted evenly and no need to keep turning the flakes. The oats are well seasoned with nutmeg, ginger, and cinnamon – just what is needed to make each bite more appealing and appetizing.

Seasoning your snacks and cereal

Indeed, many people are not thinking about properly seasoning their snacks or cereal. They believe that adding sugar or salt is sufficient. On the contrary, there are many ways you can add seasoning to oats. The nutty flavor of the oats goes well with certain spices.

For example, fruits such as berries add tons of flavor to oats. Seasoning such as ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg does wonders for oats. Even a little bit of vanilla extract will elevate the taste of oats. Have you tried our Haitian Oatmeal

Spread the oats mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spread out evenly, and bake for 15-20 minutes until a nice golden brown in a 300F preheated oven. While the mixture is baking, it is recommended to watch the baking process as every oven temperature differs. You may also need to add a few more minutes so the oats can harden a bit more.
