  • 1 grapefruit
  • 1 tsp white or brown sugar organic preferably, use more if preferable


  • Wash and dry grapefruit. Place in refrigerator for about 30 minutes. Cut top of grapefruit (about 1/4 of the fruit). With a spoon or a knife, carefully break the membrane. Add sugar and gently stir. Add crushed ice if using. Serve immediately.
