Chocolate Sauce

Chocolate sauce, what your dessert may need.

  • 1 pt Water
  • 2 lb Sugar white preferably
  • 6 oz Corn Syrup
  • 8 oz Unsweetened chocolate melted
  • 4 tbsp or 2 oz Butte


  • In a large saucepan, combine water, sugar and syrup and bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Boil 1 minute and remove from heat. Let cool 1 - 2 minutes.
  • In another saucepan, melt the chocolate and butter together over low heat. Stir until smooth. Stir the hot syrup very slowly into the chocolate. Place over low to medium heat and bring to a boil. Boil for 4 minutes. Remove from heat and cool. Serve with your favorites fruits or use in desserts, baked goods and cooked meals.
