How to make Ginger Nectar

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup fresh ginger peeled and cut in small cubes
  • 3/4 cup water purified preferably
  • 1/3 cup sugar organic, brown, or coconut palm sugar
  • 4 cups hot boiling water

Instructions
 

  • Place ginger, 3/4 cup water and sugar in a blender and puree for 2 - 3 minutes. (time will be much shorter if using a nutrients' extractor or a powerful blender)
  • Pour 4 cups water in a pot and bring to a boil. Pour ginger mixture into boiling water, turn off heat and place pot on a non heated surface or a trivet. Cover with a clean cloth and let stand to infuse until the mixture is cool. Pass through a fine-mesh sieve and refrigerate if preferred.
  • Add more sugar before serving if desired.

Notes

Use organic sugar, coconut palm sugar or brown sugar.
If using honey or agave, make sure that it is dissolved completely.
