Easy Sautéed Baby Spinach with Garlic

Sauteed Baby Spinach is an easy side dish absolutely full of flavor! Fresh baby spinach leaves are sauteed with fresh garlic and lightly seasoned with salt and pepper.

  • 1 - 16 oz bag baby spinach 2 large bunches of spinach about 1 pound
  • 3 - 4 garlic cloves sliced in half
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  • Clean and prep the baby spinach if it is required. If cleaning is required, fill up a large bowl with water and add a couple of tablespoons of white vinegar. Give the leave a quick soak and then rinse under running water. Place in a salad spinner to remove any excess moisture. 
  • In a large skillet, under medium-high heat, add oil and garlic. Sauté the for about 1 minute until the pieces are beginning to turn brown. 
  • Add spinach to the saucepan, packing it down a bit with a spatula. Using 2 spatulas or a kitchen tongue, turn the spinach and garlic so that everything is coated with olive oil. Turn a few times until the leaves start to wilt. 
  • Remove the pan and transfer the spinach to a platter for serving. Serve immediately.
